Boner's xxRA Richard Kopf - the inaugural run from the L.amA.H3 - Lech am
Arlberg Hash House Harriers - took place 6th July 2006 at a moderate altitude of
1450 m above sea level. As supporting hasher we welcomed THE global hasher
Likk'mm from Switzerland in our humble group of 10 almost only virgin hashers.
The run was hared by me - out of necessity the Grand Mattress of L.amA.H3 - and
lead to over 1770 m above sea level alongside the meadows of Lech and Oberlech,
that usually are the home of thousands of skiers during winter time. While busy
with checking and hiking (no way that anyone could actually run the steep path
;-) we encountered no major down-down-worthy incidents, as men from the
mountains are tired and do not sin.
While on the way up-up we came across an enormous lilac species of animal that
has been thoroughly inspected by some curious hashers. After being found
unperilous and not capable of delivering refreshment the ambitious group of
hashers continued their strenuous way still up-up to a well deserved drink-stop
on a terrace with excellent panoramic view on the magnificant mountains of the
Arlberg. On this terrace we have been welcomed by Just Doris and tiny little "footprint"
socks on a string. After taking
the hospitable lady with us, we continued our way down-down-down.
My attempt of being a good hare was well-meant but I failed tragically.. it was
way too long. So we cut the run short before it dropped dark and we gathered for
the circle. The circle was conducted by our guest Likk'mm and very well received
by the L.amA.H3s; and my favourite words of that day "next time...." have
repeatedly been heard.
For the on-in we chose a very typical and traditional restaurant in "Walser"-style.
Luckily Likk'mm found enough space - only - when seated. The night ended in
immoderate carousing as taught to me by my mother hash VH3.
